ZANU-PF Convenes High-Stakes Politburo and Central Committee Meetings Next Week

Political Reporter

Ruling party ZANU-PF has officially scheduled back-to-back sessions of its highest executive and policy decision-making bodies, with Secretary General Advocate Jacob Mudenda announcing that the Politburo and Central Committee will convene next week at the party’s national headquarters in Harare.

According to the official directive issued by Secretary General Mudenda, the Politburo will assemble on Tuesday morning, followed by the full gathering of the Central Committee on Wednesday. Both high-level sessions will be held at the ZANU-PF National Headquarters situated at the intersection of Samora Machel Avenue and Rotton Row.

The Politburo functions as the executive standing committee responsible for party administration, policy execution, and day-to-day governance oversight. Meanwhile, the Central Committee acts as the ruling party’s principal decision-making organ between national congresses.

The upcoming meetings come at a pivotal political juncture as ZANU-PF navigates key national policy agendas, party mobilization strategies, and ongoing administrative evaluations across its provincial structures. Top party leadership, provincial chairs, cabinet ministers, and senior party cadres who make up the executive bodies are expected to attend the consecutive assemblies.

Although the formal agenda focuses on routine administrative reporting and political affairs, observers expect the top decision-making organs to address crucial matters surrounding national economic direction, party cohesion, and strategic directives heading into the political calendar.
