Kembo Mohadi backs Zanu-PF Constitutional Amendments

ZANU-PF VP Kembo Mohadi is rallying the ruling party to align its constitution with Amendment No. 3, in a push to extend President Mnangagwa’s mandate—and raise the bar on performance.
At the 23rd National People’s Conference, Mohadi (whose speech was delivered by Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri) argued that a longer stay in office for Mnangagwa should mean more accountability, discipline, and real improvements for Zimbabweans.
He said public petitions show “growing support” for Mnangagwa’s continued leadership and called the proposed amendment a reflection of national confidence. “A longer mandate places greater responsibility on all our structures. ZANU-PF’s longer stay in power must mean longer season of prosperity and happiness for our people,” he insisted, describing Mnangagwa as an “endless beacon of hope.”
