ZINARA and Instatoll Donate US$20,000 in Medical Supplies to Beitbridge Hospital

The Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (ZINARA), in partnership with Instatoll, has donated medical supplies worth US$20,000 to Beitbridge District Hospital under its *Project We Care* initiative.

The hospital is the third institution to benefit from the programme this year, which aims to extend social support to communities beyond ZINARA’s core mandate of road fund administration.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, ZINARA said the contribution would strengthen emergency healthcare for accident victims and enhance community wellbeing.

“As roads connect people, goods and services, they also connect lives and livelihoods. It is against this rationale that we extend our footprint beyond infrastructure towards social impact,” the organisation said.

The donation included wheelchairs provided by Instatoll, as well as consumables such as hospital sheets and face masks.

Minister of State for Matabeleland South, Edward Mandeya, commended the initiative, describing it as an example of how cross-sector partnerships can yield broader national development benefits. He said the supplies would play a crucial role in supporting the hospital’s staff, particularly given its position as a key health hub on the busy Zimbabwe–South Africa border.

“These consumables are not small tokens but essential tools of life-saving care,” he said. “They will not only support routine operations but also enhance the hospital’s ability to respond to emergencies and save lives.”
