The US Embassy Public Diplomacy Section in collaboration with Jibilika Dance Trust will be hosting this year’s Next Level Academy at the Zimbabwe College of Music from 8-19 July 2024.
The Next Level Academy targets women and men aged 18 – 35 who are dancers, emcee/rappers, DJ’s and beatmakers (producers). Using multi-disciplinary hip hop collaborations, this unique arts-based exchange explores and addresses conflict resolution strategies by bringing American beat makers,DJs, B-Boys/B-Girls (or experts of other types of hip hop dance), or MCs to lead workshops, master classes, community performances, and outreach activities with local artists.
This year’s experts Lady Beast – Dancer,Dee-1 – MC, Nick Neutronz – DJ, Krithi Rao – Beatmaker, Saleem Reshamwala – Videographer and Aysha Upchurch will take time to engage the media on:
