Zim Covid19 confirmed cases hit 401 as 10 returnees from SA test positive

ZIMBABWE’s Covid19 confirmed cases rose to 401 after 10 more returnees from South Africa tested positive.

In an update, the Health Ministry reported that ten cases tested positive for Covid19.

These are all returnees from South Africa and are all isolated. Today 364 RDT screening tests and 427 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 60 585 and these include 35 294 RDT and 25291 PCR.

Mashonaland Central Province recorded 1 recovery.

“To date the total number of confirmed cases is 410, recovered 63 active cases 334 and 4 deaths since the onset of the outbreak on May 20 2020,” the update said.

Bulawayo province recorded 2 new Covid19 cases, Harare Province recorded six new Covid19 cases, Mashonaland West recorded 1 new case and Midlands Province recorded 1 new case.
