Breaking: Inmate stabs Prison officer , undresses him and flees  Harare Magistrates Court

A daring inmate Monday afternoon left tongues wagging after allegedly stabbing a prison officer , undressed and left  him handcuffed before fleeing the Harare Magistrates Court.

At the time of reporting ZCPS officials had launched a manhunt forcing the Court’s entrance closure .

Unverified reports claimed the fugitive is serving a 45 years sentence for rape and armed robbery.

Itai Madhongo (33), a convicted rapist and robber, was later swiftly recaptured moments after stabbing a prison officer and stealing his uniform in a failed escape attempt at court.
