Court drops Holy Ten  Fake Rape Charges

By Crimes Reporter

THE State has withdrawn rape charges against hip-hop artiste Mukudzei Chitsama, popularly known as Holy Ten, due to lack of evidence.

The artiste appeared before Harare Magistrate Francis Mapfumo and was facing allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl.

It was alleged that on July 20 at around 3 pm, the complainant and her friend went to Avondale Shopping Centre where Holy Ten was recording music.

The friend later left, and Holy Ten allegedly took the girl to a bed-and-breakfast establishment in Hatfield where he was staying and working.

Upon arrival, Holy Ten allegedly took the girl to his room and locked the door from inside.

The State alleged that Holy Ten threatened the girl with death if she didn’t comply with his demands.

It was the State’s case that after raping the girl, Holy Ten instructed someone to hail an InDrive for the complainant.

She was taken to Avondale shops where she met her aunt.

When asked about where she had been, she later revealed what had happened, leading to Holy Ten’s arrest.

Holy Ten was being represented by lawyer Mr Admire Rubaya
