Zim records 67 new Covid19 cases, two deaths in the last 24 hours

ZIMBABWE recorded 67 Covid19 new cases and two deaths as at April 2 2022 amid indications that new cases are going down.

The update shows that 11 of the cases were detected from outbreaks in schools from Mash West (8), Bulawayo (2) and Manicaland (1).

Below are the major highlights;

  • 11 of the cases were detected from outbreaks in schools from Mash West (8), Bulawayo (2) and Manicaland (1).
  • Vaccination Update: 82 843 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 451 788, 9 358 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 550 021 while 27 129 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3 rd. dose to 423 015.
  • Today we are happy to report that 82 842 people county-wide received their 1 st Dose bringing the cumulative doses to 5 451 788.
  • As of 01 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (34) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (3), Asymptomatic (6), mild to moderate (24), severe (3) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 8 of the 34 hospitalized were vaccinated and 26 were not vaccinated.
