WestProp dismisses fake news against Pokugara Estates, institutes legal proceedings against wrong publicity

REPUTABLE property firm, WestProp Holdings has dismissed a defamatory article which suggested that the Pokugara Estate was constructed on wetlands without proper legalities.

The news article published by The Harare Times claims that homes at Pokugara Estate are at risk being demolished.

In a joint statement signed by the WestpProp Holdings top management, the property firm dismissed the reports underscoring that the highest standards of compliance were factored in.

“Pokugara Estate stands firm as a flagship development of WestProp Holdings – built on a foundation of legal integrity, sound engineering and visionary urban planning .Every home within the estate is backed by full compliance with municipal and national regulations, and our title deeds are secure and enforceable.

“We assure all our valued homeowners and investors: your properties are safe, your investments are protected, and your peace of mind is our priority. WestProp Holdings remains committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency, legal due diligence and stakeholder trust,” the firm said.

Residents were urged  to disregard sensationalist reporting and instead rely on official communication from WestProp Holdings with regard to our developments on the back of a strong commitment to be furnished with detailed responses should any queries arise.

“We have instituted legal proceedings against the publication in which we are seeking removal of the defamatory article from their website. As you can see we are unperturbed by the alarmist report hence we continue to chase our completion target and deliver the estate to the people,” said WestProp Holdings.

The company highlighted that on the day  visitors from the Senate, Officials from City of Harare and the Environmental Management Authority visited the premises, they separately confirmed our adherence to the law and compliance of the project.
