WestProp Debuts Landmark Six-Storey Residential Building in Harare North

Listed property market innovator, WestProp Holdings, has officially handed over a six-storey residential building—the first of its kind in the leafy Harare North suburbs.
Named the ED Block in honor of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who broke ground for the project, the building is part of the prestigious Millennium Heights development located at the end of Maxwell Road in Borrowdale West, Harare.

At the official handover event on Monday night, WestProp Holdings CEO, Ken Sharpe, emphasized the company’s philosophy of continuous improvement.
“At WestProp, we always strive to raise the bar. Physically, we have now reached six floors; next time, it will be eight, then ten floors. This progression isn’t just about height but also about quality. We aim to elevate Zimbabwe’s property market. As a developer, I don’t just sell property—I sell hope for the Zimbabwe we all aspire to see,” Sharpe said.
Sharpe highlighted his dedication to inspiring Zimbabwe’s youth, who make up 62% of the population, to envision and believe in a promising future. He envisions that in 25 years, when WestProp achieves its “billion bricks” vision, today’s youth will recognize the company’s contributions.
The ED Block, affectionately nicknamed after President Mnangagwa’s groundbreaking ceremony two years ago, represents more than just a building. Sharpe proudly announced ongoing construction of several other blocks, with the goal of delivering 1,000 apartments across the Millennium Heights estate.
“Your Excellency, today we can confidently say that the best building in Zimbabwe is the ED Block. Residents can rest easy knowing they live in a home that symbolizes national progress,” he added.

Designed to maximize natural light, the apartments feature balconies with sweeping views of the evolving Millennium City skyline. Incorporating smart infrastructure such as solar energy integration and water recycling systems, the ED Block is both stylish and environmentally conscious.
Millennium Heights has rapidly become Harare’s fastest-selling residential development, with demand consistently outpacing supply. Each block attracts eager buyers wanting to be part of Zimbabwe’s most transformative urban project.

Once fully completed, Millennium Heights will serve as the heart of Millennium City, seamlessly integrating residential, retail, hospitality, and recreational spaces. The estate will connect with key landmarks including the Mall of Zimbabwe, Pokugara Residential Estate, and Radisson-managed apartments, creating a vibrant, walkable community where convenience, prestige, and sustainability converge.
WestProp Holdings continues to set new standards for urban living in Zimbabwe, delivering not just homes but hope for generations to come.

“A thousand units in Borrowdale, is not possible to replicate. So it’s a unique opportunity that you’ve bought into, and the value of your property will only go up. Lastly, I would like to say I’m grateful to my wife who supports me, to my family, to everyone in the family, not only my bloodline, but everyone in the family in Zimbabwe, because we have to support each other in this country.
“We have to believe in the future that we want to build. And most importantly, last but not least, first, we have to honor and be grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ, because this is because of him, not because of me, not because of any of us here. Let his glory be magnified,” Sharpe added.
