Top Zanu-PF officials in suspicious Chamisa attacks, interference threats

TOP Zanu-PF officials have launched scathing attacks on the opposition leader Adv Nelson Chamisa following his recent announcement that he no longer has anything to do with the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) outfit.
Chamisa said he was left with no choice except to abandon the bastardised brand following its hijacking by imposter CCC Secretary General ,Sengezo Tshabangu.
Unwarranted recalls were intiated by Tshabangu since late last yearand despite Chamisa writing to the Speaker of Parliament, Zimbabwe Elections Commission (ZEC) and the Local Government Ministry explaining the party’s position on the matter , his pleas were ignored.
The authorities instead sided with Tshabangu and actioned any request he made leaving many alleging the latter was a ruling party functionary tasked to derail the opposition movement.
Over the weekend Zanu-PF spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa launched a scathing attack on the opposition leader,Chamisa threatening to get him sued.
So questionable were the developments to the extent that he had to convene a press conference late Saturday afternoon to deliver the message.
Mutsvangwa declared that legal action would be taken against Chamisa if he attempts to form a new party following his departure from the CCC institution, which Mutsvangwa alleges has been compromised by ZANU PF.
Mutsvangwa accused Chamisa of fleeing his responsibilities and wresting power within the CCC to create a party called “Wapusa Wapusa.” He criticized Chamisa for purportedly listening only to foreign influences and ignoring domestic voices. Mutsvangwa highlighted that Chamisa’s exit from the party has opened doors for investigations into his leadership, especially regarding financial matters within the organization.
On Monday ,Acting President Kembo Mohadi also smashed Chamisa for the decision he made as well as the state of affairs within his party.
“Look at this party some of you voted for ,it is in disarray. It no longer has a leader. We are now wasting resources through holding by-elections.
“Where has the paty left you, even its President has abandoned that party.CCC is no longer an issue ,there is nothing to go to there .There is nothing left there ,there is confusion in the party.there is no direction in the party,” he said.
Mohadi accused the opposition for running down the urban centres leaving the cities synonymous with dirt.
He was drumming up support for the Zanu_PF candidate Cde Joseph Tshuma whho is running for Pelandaba -Tshabalala Constituency which fell vacant following the recall of Gift Ostallos Siziva.
He urged those who had supported the opposition to return to the rolling party .
However , political analysts who spoke to The Humanitarian Post said the sentiments by top ruling party officials leaves no doubts that Tshabangu could be be a planted project.
“What is more worrying is the fact that Tshabangu’s threats are well resonating with those being made by the likes of Ce Mutsvangwa. Why do they all speak about arrests and launching investigations into the opposition activities. This simply shows that there is one coordination in the efforts to deal with Chamisa,” one anonymous analyst said.
Another expert questioned why these top officials were quiet when Tshabangu ravaged the party and did as he wished.
“When Tshabangu was destroying the CCC , these top officials were not even concerned as they turned a blind eye.You will recall that on numerous occasions Chamisa pleaded with the authorities to ignore the imposer SG. Some actors within CCC even approached the courts but to no avail.
“Why then are they seeing chaos in the apposition party now that Chamisa has decided to abandon it?”
