THE Hills Golf Course Completion date is still within reach with work in progress indicating that major works will be completed before the end of the year, WestProp Holdings CEO Ken Sharpe has said.
The Hills Lifestyle Estate in Harare is developing an exclusive, PGA-standard 18-hole golf course designed by Peter Matkovich.
As part of a luxury residential development by WestProp, the project aims to create a world-class golfing destination in Zimbabwe, featuring a driving range, club membership options, and integration with a new luxury estate.
Speaking to The Humanitarian Post on the sidelines of an event held to officially launch The Hills Lifestyle Estate Golf Course drive range this week, WestProp Holdings Limited CEO Ken Sharpe said progress is moving within set time frames.
“We are excited to be here this early April 2026, officially opening the Golf Driving Range. Hole 17 is really looking spectacular. It is world-class standard .This is the first International quality golf course in Zimbabwe, a USGA standard course.
“The momentum we have now is tilted towards completing the construction of the Golf Course by the end of the year. We intend to open it officially on the 15th of January 2027,” he said.
He said the Impact of the Golf Course within Zimbabwe and beyond is massive because for a long time Zimbabwe has been discounted as a destination in general.
“But now you can see with the Forbes rating of Tourism and the recent remarks in countries like Germany, you can see that the country s raising the banner higher so this Golf Course is one of the jewels we are adding to the crown of Zimbabwe,” said Sharpe.
The WestProp CEO noted that the country will now be placed back on to the Golfing destination as well as attracting international golfers to come and enjoy the game in Zimbabwe.
“We are 100% certain that the 15 January 2027 deadline will be met, so far almost nine holes, which are half of the Course are already at an advanced stage. By July 2026 almost all 18 holes will be done. By December you will definitely see a finished Golf Course,” added Sharpe.
