New Chapter, New Rules! Ken Sharpe’s Power Moves for Imba YaAmai’s Teen Mom Graduates

PROPERTY mogul and WestProp Holdings Limited CEO, Ken Sharpe, has urged 16 graduating students from Imba YaAmai Center to learn from their past mistakes and be exemplary as they move into the future.
Imba YaAmai Center (the mother’s house) is a humanitarian initiative led by the Sharpe family that provides a second chance to teen mothers from disadvantaged backgrounds through vocational training in baking, sewing, and hairdressing.
In a brief speech at the Center’s graduation ceremony, Sharpe called for divinely inspired discipline and an exemplary lifestyle that reflects reformation.
“All I want to say to you young ladies and to everyone here is that in all things we should acknowledge the Lord. Because we don’t do these things because of us. We as a family are not blessed just for us. You see, an apostle of the Lord came to our house and gave me a blessing maybe 15 or more years ago, almost 20 years ago,” he said.
“He said that the Lord will continue to bless you and what you do so that you can bless others. So today definitely we have to acknowledge and give thanks to the Lord alone. All glory is for Him, you know.
“That leads to my second message to you young ladies. Yes, your past doesn’t define you. But if you don’t learn from your past, then it is fatal. Because yes, you can be forgiven for sin. But if you keep doing the same sin, that forgiveness doesn’t take effect. And likewise, when you go out into the communities you’re in, remember who you represent,” he added.
Sharpe reminded the 16 graduating teen mothers that they represent the Lord and need to be examples for others to do better than their past.
“Let your mistakes be that others can learn not to make those mistakes. And let your actions speak so loudly that others will see you and wonder how it is that you are able to do the things you do. Be that example to them. Stand up for what is right.
“Do what is right. Let the consequences follow. It’s a hymn in our church. So my message to you is, be that example that the Lord will be proud of. Thank you very much,” he concluded.
