“This handover of US$109 000 from the National Aids Council to KidsCan is a strategic and compassionate investment in the health of our people , which represents a bold step towards integrating our health responses and ensuring that resources are leveraged for maximum impact on the lives of our children,” Manyika said.

He added that the funding, earmarked for essential medicines, accurate diagnosis and awareness initiatives, comes at a crucial time as Zimbabwe intensifies efforts to strengthen its health delivery system.

NAC currently supports Ward 4A at Parirenyatwa Hospital , a specialized unit treating blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma as well as kidney and eye cancers in children.
