Killer T Breaks Down , Vows to Quit Alcohol After Drunken Outburst and Public Apology

By Staff Reporter

IN a moment of raw vulnerability, beloved musician Killer T has broken down in tears, expressing deep shame and regret after admitting to abusing alcohol.

The Kandanyura hitmaker, whose real name is Kelvin Kusikwenyu, could barely contain his emotions as he publicly apologized for a drunken outburst directed at Ambassador Kwame Tapiwa Muzawazi.

Killer T’s voice trembled as he admitted to sending disrespectful and hurtful WhatsApp voice notes to the ambassador while heavily intoxicated—a moment he now describes as one of his darkest. “I was shocked by my own words,” Killer T confessed, his eyes welling with tears. “I have battled with alcohol before, and I can finally see the pain it has caused, not just to myself but to those who look up to me.”

Choking back sobs, he vowed to quit drinking for good, saying, “I am ready to plead guilty and face the consequences in court. I have let down my fans, my family, and I have tarnished my name and brand.”

The singer’s apology comes after a harrowing night spent in a police cell at Marlborough Police Station. The ordeal began after he allegedly made comments in the aftermath of a tragic dog attack involving a friend. Now, Killer T wishes to transform his pain into purpose, pledging to become a voice against drugs and substance abuse for young people across Zimbabwe.

“This is my wake-up call,” he said tearfully. “I can only hope my story will spare someone else from walking this painful path.”
