A $200,000 adultery claim has spiraled into a storm of accusations, pitting Esther Vimbainashe Jerera against her estranged husband, former ZBC reporter Musorowegomo Mukosi.
What started as a lawsuit over an alleged affair has now exposed deep rifts in their marriage, with both sides trading serious allegations.
In an affidavit dated October 8, Jerera paints a troubling picture. She accuses Mukosi of intimidation—keeping a pistol by their bed—physical abuse, and multiple affairs. These alleged relationships, she says, left her fearful for her health and the safety of their home. She also claims he accessed her private call logs and threatened her family, making married life unbearable.
The couple’s troubles, according to Jerera, began in 2021 and only worsened over the years. Attempts at reconciliation failed, and by October 2025, she had returned to her parents’ home. Disputes even extended to property ownership, with Jerera insisting she bought a Crowhill Farm property using her own inheritance, not as a shared marital asset.
Meanwhile, at the center of the legal battle, Mukosi is demanding $200,000 in damages from chartered accountant Kundai Tibugare, accusing him of having an affair with Jerera. Both Jerera and Tibugare firmly deny any romantic involvement, and Tibugare’s lawyers have countered that the claims are false and damaging.
The case took an even darker turn when Tibugare’s legal team accused Mukosi of using alleged connections in the Central Intelligence Organisation to intimidate both Jerera and Tibugare. They raised concerns about supposed access to airport CCTV, travel records, hotel surveillance, and phone data—serious allegations that, so far, remain unproven.
For now, the dispute is a maze of conflicting stories. Allegations of abuse, infidelity, and surveillance hang over both parties, but none have been confirmed by authorities. With both sides holding firm, what began as a private marital issue has grown into a public and painful feud, leaving unanswered questions and reputations at stake.
