An eight-month-old baby girl died on October 24, 2026, after suffering severe scalding burns in Epworth, Harare.
The incident took place on October 21, 2026 in Epworth, Harare, Zimbabwe.
The infant crawled toward a bucket filled with hot water and pulled it over herself. She was rushed and admitted to Sally Mugabe Hospital, where she passed away on October 24, 2026.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the tragedy and stated that investigations are ongoing. Police have urged parents and guardians to keep hot liquids and dangerous objects out of the reach of young children.
