CITIZENS Coalition for Change leader Nelson Chamisa has blamed the ruling party’s jealousy and unjustified hate for prompting an orgy of violence which resulted in the death of one person and injuries among 17 others.

Reaching out to his supporters on twitter, the vibrant opposition leader decried the spirit of jealous and unjustified anger over the overwhelming support CCC is receiving across the nation.

And this is what Zanu-pf intruders did to us. They were so angry because of the huge turnout at our rally. They unleashed violence using stones machetes and iron bars,” he tweeted.

His party’s spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere  accused Vice President Constantino Chiwenga for peddling hate speech a day earlier in the Midlands city.

The second in charge vowed to crush the opposition like lice highlighting that even flies will not be able to get a meal thereafter.

“This incitement to violence ought to have no place in a constitutional democracy. Violence against the citizens is not acceptable. We need new leaders,” said Mahere.

The incident resulted in the death of one person and hospitalisation of 17 people who sustained injuries.
