Fired Mutsvangwa pledges loyalty to Mnangagwa, disowns fake X account

FIRED former War Veterans Minister, Chris Mutsvangwa has pledged allegiance to President Emmerson Mnangagwa on the back of disowning a fake twitter/X account which posted anti-Zanu-PF messages over the weekend.
The X accounts running under the handles @Cmutsvangwa and @cmtsvangwa1 castigated Mnangagwa over the weekend describing him as a leader who has amassed wealth through very unjust means.
The handles also questioned his leadership qualities underscoring that the former late President Robert Mugabe once revealed that the incumbent does not possess leadership qualities.
But in a statement Tuesday Mutsvangwa disowned the X handles while pledging maximum loyalty to Mnangagwa.
“I have no association nor knowledge of the above named account .I urge all Zimbabweans to disregard and report that parody account and any other, I also implore the Zimbabwe Republic Police to harness this challenge.
“My loyalty to the Party and President Cde. Dr ED Mnangagwa is beyond question and to use my name and likeness to cast aspersions on the Party and its leadership is intolerable,” he said.
He noted that the scourge of fake accounts and their attendant disinformation agenda cannot continue to be tolerated.
“Disinformation has been used to attack many with impunity in Zimbabwe,” he added.
