‘Power Monger’ Mliswa appointed village head

Shurugwi- FORMER legislator Temba Mliswa has been appointed village head Wednesday in Shurugwi under Chief Banga,Express Mail Zim has learnt.
He replaces his aunt Maria Dube who resigned due to illness.
Express Mail Zim gleaned a copy of the appointment letter dated January 24 and signed by Chief Banga.
Commenting on his X account,Mliswa said the position was passed through the family lineage with the roots being his grandfather Peter Sixpence Mliswa .
Wrote Mliswa:
“Ichoo ndicho! Mochikorokotedza muchida musingade. Chibhuru Sabhuku. This is a position passed down in the family lineage for years from my grandfather Peter Sixpence Mliswa to my father and vazukuru vekwaDziva who kept it going.”
His sister Mary was the resident minister for Mashonaland West and when she was booted out and contensted for councillorship just to remain in the levers of power at any level.
Temba was the founder and leader of student activist outfit YARD and at one time he was fitness trainer at Dynamos where he some players revealed that in a show of power, part of their fitness drills included climbing up mountains.
Mliswa began his career in politics in 1996.
He joined ZANU PF party and became a ZANU PF legislator serving as a Member of Parliament for Hurungwe West Constituency from 2013 to 2015. He was appointed ZANU-PF provincial chairman for Mashonaland West Province from 2013 to 2014 and member of the Central Committee.
