Air Zim to fly to Masvingo just for Sanganai/Hlanganani Expo

For eight days in September, Air Zimbabwe will operate scheduled flights to Masvingo Airport to support the 2026 Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe World Tourism Expo, held from 9 to 12 September.
Normally a quiet provincial airstrip, Masvingo will see flights shuttling delegates between Harare and Masvingo before and during the event.
On the expo’s final day, Air Zimbabwe offers a special same-day round trip from Masvingo to Victoria Falls, allowing international buyers to visit the iconic site and return for closing sessions. Fares reflect the target audience: 100 one way from Harare to Masvingo,and 100 one way from Harare to Masvingo, and 240 one way to Victoria Falls.
This initiative follows a pattern from previous expos, supporting tourism in provinces without regular scheduled air service. Masvingo has prepared extensively, with expanded hotel capacity and infrastructure improvements.
While the flight schedule is temporary, it aims to boost tourism and accessibility. The lasting impact depends on sustained demand for flights to this historic region after the expo concludes.
