WestProp Debuts World Class Projects at ZimReal 2026  with Five-Year Sponsorship Renewal

WestProp Holdings Limited, Zimbabwe’s premier publicly traded real estate developer, has reaffirmed its commitment to driving transformation in the local real estate sector by pledging continued sponsorship of the ZimReal Conference for the next five years.

At the recent 6th Annual ZimReal Property Investment Forum held on August 26, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Harare, WestProp CEO Kenneth Sharpe underscored the remarkable evolution of Zimbabwe’s real estate landscape over the past five years.

“Because it’s important for us now to talk about real estate, not in setting it up or establishing it,  but rather on how to scale it. If we go back five years, real estate was just getting started in Zimbabwe, and today we can see the climate is completely different.

“There are hundreds of developers out there, thousands literally of projects, hundreds of thousands of homes, shopping malls being built, hotels being built. It’s a completely different landscape and climate.  And we are proud as Westrop to have led that way.

“We need everyone to participate, not only in the real estate sector, but in other sectors that have a direct influence and bearing on our success.  And the most important one now for us is the capital markets. We need the funding to come in,” he said.

He highlighted the proliferation of developers and projects now reshaping the market.

Sharpe emphasized the necessity for collaborative participation across sectors, particularly the capital markets, to meet the overwhelming demand and sustain growth. “Scaling the industry requires collective effort—not only within real estate but across all sectors that influence its success,” he stated.
