HARARE – Budiriro North legislator, Susan Matsunga made headlines Tuesday after chanting slogans in support of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3.
The latest development recorded a major climb down for Matsunga who is known as a staunch critic of of the ruling Zanu-PF Party. She joins the growing list of opposition politicians joining the ruling party.
Budiriro North MP, Susan Matsunga, attended a boreholes unveiling event in her constituency, which attracted Zanu PF Central Committee members Paul Tungwarara and Kudakwashe Tagwirei .
Matsunga chanted Zanu PF slogans and praised President Emmerson Mnangagwa for his development initiatives across the country.
She showered the President with praises and described him as a father figure whose love knows no political boundaries.
Last week, CCC organising secretary and councillor in Chipinge attended a Zanu PF event in what observers described as an expression of embracing the ruling party.
