ZINARA’s ZWG340 mln disbursements spurs massive roads rehab

THE Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (ZINARA) disbursed a whopping ZWG340 million to several departments, spurring massive roads rehabilitation in the year’s first half.
The details contained in the 2025 Mid Term Budget Review presented last week testifies the administration’s sustained commitment to keep up to the promise enshrined under the rebranded organisation’s mission.
Out of the disbursed amount , a total of ZWG91,3 million was allocated to the Department of Roads.
In yet another reflection of fairness and impartiality , the amounts of funds disbursed to rural and urban local authorities was almost equivalent with Rural Infrastructure Development Agency receiving ZWG26,7 million , Rural District Councils ZWG 100,4 million while the Urban Councils received ZWG121,9 million during the period.
Resultantly, high impact projects as below listed were completed during the period;
(a) Chipinge -Mt Selinda Road in Manicaland 10 km completed.
(b) Murehwa-Madecheche Road in Mashonaland East 8.8 km clearing completed.
(c)Golden Valley-Sanyati Road in Mashonaland West Sanyati 7 km completed.
(d)Bulawayo – Nkayi Road Matebeleland North Various 6.3 km is primed.
(e)Domboshava Road Mashonaland East Domboshava 7.2 km completed.
(f)Nyanga-Ruwangwe Road Manicaland Nyanga 5 km completed.
(g)Kadoma-Chakari Road Mashonaland West Sanyati 2.2 km asphalt overlay.
(h)Kwekwe-Gokwe Road Midlands Kwekwe 40 km overlay asphalt.
(i)Kuwirirana-Nembudziya Road Midlands Gokwe 7 km overlay asphalt and 20 km Regravelling completed).
(j)Bulawayo – Nkayi Road Matabeleland North Various 6.3 km is primed.
(k) Domboshava Road Mashonaland East Domboshava.
