ZINARA floats 100% discounts at ZAS 2026, rewards compliant motorists with 50% reprieve

THE pro-people centered discounts floated by the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) and the ongoing ZAS 2026 have triggered overwhelming responses from members of the public.
ZINARA I offering a 100% penalty waiver on all vehicle classes, a 50% discount on current license renewals for vehicles under 2 250kg—exclusive to the ZAS stand plus the 25% discount on current license renewal, available all licensing offices nationwide and selected agents.
Speaking to The Humanitarian Post at the ZINARA Stand, Jonathan Marufu from Dzivarasekwa in Harare hailed the massive discounts.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the ZINARA management and staff for this gesture. I was struggling to get my vehicle licensed for the last two terms after losing my job so this opportunity extended a lifeline for me to be back on the road again,” he said.
Stella Nyoni from the Avenues Area also expressed gratitude over the gesture and implored the road administrator to keep floating similar offers even outside show time.
“A big thank you to ZINARA.However, I hope similar promos will be floated throughout the year to make life a bit easier for us especially bearing in mind that Exemptions are almost impossible following the enactment of a very strict criteria, often requiring confirmation letters from garages which have tax clearance certificates.
“Most service providers we rely on these days are informal so meeting such a requirement is impossible, leaving motorists with faulty vehicles with no choice except to leave the arrears accruing. Such windows give us breathing space,” she said.
Other motorists interviewed thanked the forces behind the discounts for making life easier highlighting that competing daily needs often push them to default hence the opportunity makes it easier for them to catch up.
Takunda Danda from Mabvuku described the current Promo as rewarding for compliant motorists.
“This is a balanced gesture. I have just paid 50% less for the current term because I have been compliant so I can’t underestimate that gesture,” he said.
