ZIMBABWE recorded 27 new Covid19 cases and 5 deaths , Health Ministry reported Tuesday.
The new figures come against a background where the country has eased the pandemic’s preventive measures which were adopted soon after recording the first infection cases.
“All 27 are local cases and no new recoveries were reported . The national recovery rate stands at 94% and active cases go up to 264 today. As at October 26 2020, Zimbabwe has now recorded 8 303 cases 7797 recoveries and 242 deaths,” the Health Ministry said in an update.
The new figures come in the midst of visible reluctance by citizens who are neglecting the uptake of preventive measures following the easing of the Covid19 preventive measures.
Many people have abandoned the wearing of masks , handwashing and the conspiracy belief that there are very few Covid19 cases in the country.
