ZAS in record growth ahead of the 2025 edition

THE Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) has seen strong growth in the number of  exhibitors as well as debut events set to take place.

In a media briefing ahead of the 115th showcase,  ZAS CEO Rufaro Gunundu said 85% of exhibitor had already set up their stands on the back of stats showing that 505 exhibitors as opposed to 480 in the comparative period have sine confirmed participation.

The event’s boss said 79 500 square metres have been taken up compared to 72 363 square  meters occupied last year attributable to rising investments in the agric industry.

The Friday, the CEO said  ,ZAS will host its inaugural Golf Tournament this Friday at the Royal Harare Golf Club, aimed at raising financial resources to support key agricultural development programmes.

“This tournament is more than just a game; it serves as a strategic platform to empower the next generation of agribusiness leaders. Proceeds from the tournament will support two vital initiatives: the ZAS Master Farmer Training Programme, which equips farmers with essential skills and confidence-building, and the ZAS Scholarship Programme, which provides financial assistance to students pursuing diplomas in agriculture, horticulture, and animal science,” he said.

He said apart from this , the international Backsplit Performance Bikers will deliver high-energy and precision biking display to captivate spectacle at the tournament, aiming to impress the audience with our precision and creativity.

“This unique blend of sport and agricultural advocacy promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees, highlighting the vibrant future of Zimbabwe’s agricultural community,” said Gunundu.
