Palestine envoy in Zim says death toll hits 4 200, slams Israeli “Holocaust”

 THE Palestine envoy in Zimbabwe, Dr Tamer Almassri says the international community has been a huge let down in the wake of attacks which has seen the embattled nation losing 4 200 citizens in recent days.

He was addressing journalists in Harare Thursday where he shared gory details of the situation on the ground back home.

“So far a total 4 200 citizens’ have been martyred with the majority being children constituting 2 000 and another 700 being women. A total 35 hospitals have been attacked.

“The Israeli forces are targeting the Gaza strip where the Palestine’s populace of 2,2 million resides  within just a 365 square meters  area .We are told that 24 ambulances were destroyed  while 25 doctors and their families were killed,” he said.

Almassri said so far 15 journalists have been killed with another two still missing.

“Electricity has been cut off as well as internet access and so far our hospitals are running on the last generators. We have also run out of medicines.

“A total 600 000 Palestinians have been displaced from their homes and what we are experiencing are the effects of the double standards of super powers.

“What boggles the mind is that the US manufactured bombs MK84 used by the Israeli forces   have been discovered on our territory,” he said.

The envoy castigated Western media houses for trying to portray the ongoing disturbances as a move to quell religious wars yet in essence the reality on the ground signifies a totally different state of the world’s last remaining Apartheid state.

“It is sad that the international community is silent on this .We are being fought by people who respect their blood and skin color alone. They have no respect for humanity at all and will not stop at anything until they push their agenda.

“But Palestine is not going to give up until we recover what is rightfully ours .We will continue fighting to the end,” added Dr. Almassri.
