Notorious armed robber Musa Taj Abdul and accomplices jailed for half a century

NOTORIUOS armed robber Musa Taj Abdul has been jailed 52 years alongside his two other accomplices.
The trio was facing 13 counts of armed robbery and in handing judgment Harare Magistrate Mr Ignatio Mhene sentences them to 10 years each for the first count.
The remaining 12 counts were combined and reduced to seven counts , where each one of them was sentenced to seven years imprisonment bringing the total to 52 years.
Eight years were suspended on condition that they do not commit a similar offence within the next five years.
An additional four years were suspended on condition that they restitute US$2 416 to the complainant of count one by March 30.
Two years were suspended on condition that they restitute complainants of US$1 070.
They are to seve an effective 38 years in jail.
