Mnangagwa set to attend Russia-Africa Forum next week

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to attend the second Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum to be held in St Petersburg in the Russian Federation .
The high level convention will be held between the 27th and 28th of July 2023.
In a communique Zimbabwe’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ministry confirmed Mnangagwa’ attendance.
“H.E President Emmerson Mnangagwa will be accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Minister , Dr Fredrick Shava and senior government officials.
“The Forum presents an opportunity to exchange notes on bilateral and international issues of mutual interest and concern and also serves as a significant event in bolstering our relations further,” the statement said.
Zimbabwe also announced its intentions to take advantage of the Forum by leveraging on the foundations of the inaugural Russia-Africa Summit which was held in Sochi,in the Russian Federation , in October 2019.
The Southern Africa nation is expected to sign a number of MOUs/Agreements during the Forum
