PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has removed High Court judge Justice Edith Mushore from office in line with the recommendations made by the tribunal set up to investigate alleged acts of misconduct.
A tribunal set to look into her long absence at work handed over its recommendations to Mnangagwa on Thursday leaving the floor for him to decide.
The tribunal was chaired by Justice Maphios Cheda and Advocate Charles Warara Yvonne Masvora.
A tribunal was established by the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) in June last year after the judge disappeared and stopped reporting for work for nine months.
The Tribunal has reported its findings to His Excellency the President , Cde Dr ED Mnangagwa and has recommended that Justice Mushore be removed from office of judge for acts of misconduct.
Accordingly ,His excellency ,The President acting in terms of Section 187 (8) of the constitution has removed Justice Mushore from the office of the Judge of the High Court.
