CIO boss Mangwanya fired , ZHRC’s Majome demoted

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has dismissed the CIO Director General, Fulton Mangwanya and moved to replace him with Mr Paul Chikawa.
In a statement, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Martin Rushwaya said the appointment is with immediate effect.
“In terms of Section 226(1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, His Excellency the President, Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has appointed Mr Paul Chikawa as the Director-General, President’s Department. The appointment is with immediate effect,” he said.
Dr Rushwaya also announced the re-assignment of Ms Fungayi Jessie Majome from the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission to the Public Service Commission.
“In terms of Section 202(1)(b) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, His Excellency the President, Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has re-assigned Ms Fungayi Jessie Majome from the position of the Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission to the position of Commissioner in the Public Service Commission. The re-assignment is with immediate effect,” he said.
