Stanchart Zim heads for strike over US$95 salaries

STANDARD Chartered Zimbabwe workers are heading for a strike in protest against poor wages after the bank’s workers took home net salaries of US$95 this month.

The figures have been confirmed by the Zimbabwe Banks and Allied Workers Union amid reports that the workers are highly demotivated.

 “Do you bank with  @StanChart. Zimbabwe Bear with the workers who are earning slave wages Today most earned RTGS 22 000 This is equivalent to US$95.

“Even Zimbabwe Government is now paying better this exploitative bank Mr Bill Winters & Dr Jose’ Vinals is this right ,” said ZIBAWU in a tweet.
