By Staff Writer

THE Constitutional Court of Zimbabwe has cleared the ex- National Social Security Authority (NSSA) of all outstanding corruption charges.

This follows the decision by the Concourt to quash a Supreme Court ruling which upheld a forensic audit report which linked the former NSSA board chairperson to corruption.

The damning report was published by the BDO Chartered Accountants at the instruction of the then Auditor General Margaret Chiri.

The former NSSA board chair challenged the Audit Report at the High Court.

However, BDO accountants and the Auditor General approached the Supreme Court and overturned the decision.

But today a full bench of the Constitutional Court ruled in favor of Vela effectively quashing all corruption allegations against him.
