By Staff Writer
OPPOSITION activist Job Sikhala has been arrested by South African Police, online sources reported on Friday.
According to the reports , pictures were received confirming the development but without any context added.Pictures circulating online show Sikhala being handcuffed by a police officer in civilian clothing, and later sitting on a roadside steel barrier. Next to him is an elderly man, believed to have been in the vehicle with him.
Another image shows what appears to be explosives wrapped inside a yellow plastic bag.
According to Sikhala’s wife, he was attending a meeting last night when one of the hosts asked to check something in his car. The keys were taken, and the person left, returning about thirty minutes later and asking the attendees to wrap up the meeting as it was getting late.
Sikhala then got into his car, and while en route, the police stopped the vehicle and conducted a search. Authorities reportedly found explosives, leading to his arrest. He is currently being held at a local police station in Pretoria. Lawyers from Zimbabwe have been dispatched to assist, and South African lawyers are already involved in the case.
Jacob Ngarivhume also states that this incident highlights how the regime is actively coordinating with regional bodies to target those opposing the corrupt and illegal 2030 agenda.
