Jittery Govt moves to ‘stop’ Kasukuwere billboards placement on major highways

JITTERY government has moved to block the erection of ex-Cabinet Minister Saviour Kasukuwere’s billboards by enacting the requirement to seek approval first before installing bill boards along the roads.
This new regulation was announced by Mash Central provincial road engineer J Makokove in a statement released Tuesday.
“Such company seeking to put up new content on their billboards should take sue diligence to satisfy this respective office before installation clearly specifying the nature of the content ,” wrote Makokove.
The communication dates July 18, was copied to senior area managers.
The sudden amendment coincides and comes in the wake of campaign billboards installed by independent presidential aspirant Saviour Kasukuwere shattered the internet.
The aspiring president hails from the province and commands a lot of supporting leading to speculation that the new regulation was well timed ahead of the August 23 polls.
The legality of Kasukuwere’s candidature is set to be heard at the Supreme Court Thursday after his appeal to the High Court ruling which blocked his desired dream to occupy State House.
