MDC-Alliance leader, Douglas Mwonzora says he will not waste his precious time on newly formed CCC political party “loudmouths” but will instead focus on implementing deeper strategic initiatives to scoop victory in the forthcoming elections.
He made the remarks during an exclusive interview with The Humanitarian Post after being quizzed on the state of preparedness ahead of the forthcoming elections in the context of threats posed by the Citizens Coalition for Change.
“No. I do not foresee any threats and I will not waste my time on loudmouths like Nelson Chamisa. Being talkative has never been a political strategy. We know these guys. We have their records. Even when they used to work from Harvest House, they were known for being loudmouths,” he said.
He criticized Chamisa for being too ambitious and destroying the formidable opposition movement in the country but vowed to restore the citizens wishes.
“The people generally are interested in our brand, our message of dialogue, a new political approach, one which is non-violent and anti-hate. he brand was immersed in unnecessary dirt.
“So I am glad that we are now going back to our past ideology of social democracy. We are pro-people, pro-poor
Mwonzora said so far his party had managed to field over 90% candidates for the National Assembly and over 70% for the local government election.
“We are taking over. Victory is ours and success is certain,” he added.
