PROPHET Walter Magaya Thursday bit the dust after the High Court dismissed his Court Application challenging the decision by the Zimbabwe Football Association top bar him from contesting as President.
The popular cleric had produced a Marketing Diploma arguing it was more superior than O’Level and deserved to qualify him for presidency.
But delivering judgement, High Court Judge Justice Tawanda Chitapi dismissed Mgaya’s flawed case for lack of merit.
“The applicant would be required to produce an O’ Level certificate even if he holds a PhD.In the present matter, the applicant has been coy in disclosing further information regarding his qualifications to correct the committee’s decision.
“The challenge by the applicant cannot succeed. His application is dismissed. Each party to pay its costs,” ordered the judge.
