God is the cornerstone of Generational Weath – Sharpe to CEOs

WESTPROP CEO, Ken Sharpe has implored business leaders to take God to the fore and make him the cornerstone in their endeavor to turn around fortunes within their entities.
He made the remarks Tuesday in his address at the CEO Africa Roundtable, Zimbabwe Wealth and Retirement Summit currently underway in the Eastern Highlands town of Nyanga. The top corporate event which has drawn renowned business leaders from within and outside Zimbabwe is running under the theme “Generational Wealth Transformed”.
Sharpe said God remains an inseparable component of Generational Wealth and expects everyone to play a part by being a blessing unto each other.

“Transformational wealth is a promise that God made from the beginning of time, that if we honour him, and we pay our first fruits, which is our tithing, he will give us more than we need. He will fill our storehouses so they will overflow.
You see, in my own life I’ve realised that God blessed me a lot. I’m a wealthy man. But he only blessed me to be a blessing to others. It doesn’t make sense if God just blesses you for yourself. Because God is not a selfish God. He wants us all to benefit, we are all his children,” he said.
The Property market tycoon said God’s very purpose is to provide a blessing to us to be a blessing to others. He said whether one decides to bless others in their families or within their social reach. He underpinned the philosophy that God blesses to enable one to bless others.
Drawing lessons from the Abrahamic covenant. When Abraham was promised that his seed would be more than the sand of the seashore, Sharpe said the grains of sand in the world would make up trillions upon trillions of grains. And that promise continues today.
He said Jewish people Jewish people, where the Abrahamic covenant came from, have a tradition of keeping the wealth in the family.
“They’re very good at it. In fact, they give the inheritance to the oldest son. And I think there’s an example for all cultures to learn from them, to say, and I’m not Jewish, by the way, so I’m not promoting the Jewish culture, but I think it’s important for us to recognise that the wealth of today’s generation gets multiplied by tomorrow’s generation, if it is taken care of.
“So I think when we talk about wealth creation, about retirement, we should be really talking about what are we doing for our children. What are we teaching our children? What are we teaching our children’s children? Because if we teach them the right value system and the right moral code and the right formula of wealth creation, then what we do today as one generation will be multiplied tomorrow by the next generation. And I’m talking about multiplication, not one plus one,” he said.
