Geza stayaway suffers heavy dents as citizens  turn up for work

By Staff Reporter

THE Blessed Geza instigated indefinite stayaway suffered another set of heavy blows following the decision by  citizens of Harare to ignore fresh calls to force President Emmerson Mnangagwa to vacate office.

The fugitive war vets leader had instructed citizens not to turn up for work commencing Tuesday 22 April 2025 in what hwe described as the final push to force Mnangagwa’s administration to vacate office.

Unfortunatley as early as 5 am Tuesday transport operators were already touting for commuters, most of whom are vendors headed to Harare’s informal markets.

There was no indication of any change in Dzivarasekwa Extension ,Mabvuku and other suburbs.

The situation was even worse in Harare’s City Center .

“We have families to feed . While we think Geza is right we can’t risk our livelihoods for a cause being propagated by a revolutionary leader who is in hiding. He has to be more practical and find other ways to push for his agenda other than escalating poverty among citizens,” one informal trader who spoke to our publication said.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) had earlier on issued a stern warning against all civil servants who would not turn up for work.

Geza is mired in factional fights within the ruling Zanu-PF Party and is desperate for endorsement from members of the public who are highly skeptikal of any move emanating from the ruling party’s insiders.

The fact that the November 2017 coup movement which unseated the late ex-President Robert Mugabe ended up sidelining the masses soon after taking over the reins is chief among the causes behind Geza’s waning support.
