FIVE students have been arrested for staging a demonstration in support of their lecturers at the country’s top institution of higher learning, University of Zimbabwe.
In a post on X, the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) confirmed the development and urgently called for the arrested to be released unconditionally.
“ Receiving disturbing reports that the regime has arrested the following students: Chairperson Narshon Kohlo SG Tafadzwe Katsande Blessing Mtis Tawananyashe Hove Nodesha Maingehama Tariro Mtukura,” said ZINASU.
