Ex- Finance Minister Chinamasa grilled for ‘poking nose’ into CCC affairs

By Staff Writer

FORMER Finance Minister, Patrick Chinamasa was Thursday taken over hot coals by social media users after poking his nose into the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) affairs with social media users instead urging him to direct focus on uplifting people centered infrastructure.

Posting a long thread on twitter ,the senior civil servant who has been a towering figure in the evolution of the ruling Zanu-pf party and government sensationally alleged that the leading opposition party does not have any bank account.

He said the donations to CCC are not receipted; they are all handed over to the leader of CCC, Nelson Chamisa.

“Evidence abounds of contributions channeled through Hopewell Chin’ono, Tendai Biti, and David Coltart, which were handed over to the Emperor. No acknowledgement letter or receipt was given.

“ As our Founder President and National Hero, Cde R.G. Mugabe, would put it, “mari yose yakapinda mukanwa machura,” meaning it went into Chamisa’s pocket with no accountability whatsoever. The money raised supposedly to buy a bulletproof car from so-called CCC Supporters in the Diaspora, “imwe futi mari yakapinda mukanwa machura,” said Chinamasa on Twitter.

But in response, social media activist Hopewell Chin’ono challenged Chinamasa to speak on the state of the country’s health delivery system.

“While you are concentrating on gossip , did you know that the whole of Zimbabwe’s public health system has no working radiotherapy cancer treatment machine nhai vaChinamasa? Did you know that the biggest hospital in Zimbabwe only had one maternity theater built in 1977 by Ian Smith? Did you know that Zimbabwe is now in hyperinflation?”

@Africansam quizzed the Zanu-Pf Treasurer General to share finer details on the just released Sentry Report.

@WilliamZambezi questioned Chinamasa on why he was interested in CCC affairs yet in actual fact nobody had asked Zanu-Pf party on how the donations receive from China were being utilized.

Did you know that Zanu PF is failing to service its debts to banks? At one time ZanuPF owed banks over 15 million usd. The party doesn’t even produce audited accounts to its members.
