Covid19 confirmed cases reach 24 as two patients recover from the virus

ZIMBABWE now has 24  Covid19 confirmed cases and two recoveries as the virus continues to take its toll on the Southern Africa nation.

A four year old  tested positive for the coronavirus in Bulawayo, the Ministry of Health and Child Care had advised, adding that Zimbabwe now has two people who have recovered from the coronavirus.

The local Rapid Response Team in Bulawayo tested people who were contacts of a recently confirmed patient in Bulawayo, and three children, a 10-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old tested positive.

They are all residents of the same house with confirmed patient case #16, the Ministry said.

All are stable, on self-isolation at home and with mild disease, the statement said.
