Police have arrested Denford Muchatuki Chimano (29) and Gerald Duwaduwa (25) following the murder of Desmond Ushe (39) at a house in St Mary’s, Chitungwiza, on 21 October 2025.
According to police reports, the two men allegedly attacked the victim after accusing him of having an affair with Chimano’s girlfriend. The suspects reportedly took turns striking Ushe with fists before stabbing him in the knee with an okapi knife.
Ushe was rushed to Chitungwiza General Hospital but died shortly after admission from his injuries.
“The suspects have been arrested and are assisting police with investigations,” said a spokesperson for the Harare Police Department.
Authorities have urged the public to report any information that may help with ongoing investigations. The suspects are expected to appear in court soon to face murder charges.
Local residents expressed shock over the incident, highlighting growing concerns over violent crimes stemming from personal disputes in the community.
