“CCC ‘members’ were barred from talking to state media” says Chinamasa

THE ex-Finance Minister and ruling Zanu-PF Treasurer General, Patrick Chinamasa has once again torn into the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) political party, this time alleging that all opposition leaders were directly instructed not to entertain State controlled media.
Last time the ruling party official was grilled on social media after claiming that the CCC party had no bank account and financial systems.
In yet another similar update on , Chinamasa took it to social media this time claiming some active CCC members who are set to rejoin the ruling Zanu-pf party were advised not to entertain the state media.
“Information just received from would-be Returnees still working within the ranks of CCC is that CCC has directed its National Assembly, Senatorial, Women’s Quota, Provincial Council, Local Authority, and the 30% Women’s Quota Local Authority Candidates not to give any interviews or statements to ZBC or Zimpapers.
“This instruction has been given despite the electoral law, which gives every participating political party slots on the National Radio and Television Services,” he said.
He alleged that motivating this instruction is the desire to start building a case condemning the electoral environment as not being transparent, free, fair, and credible amid justification that if the public does not see or hear CCC messages being aired on ZBC or flighted on ZTV or in Zimpapers, Radio, or TV Stations, they should understand where this is coming from.
He said the moves are also triggered by fears the reporters will seek clarification on CCC’s policies and positions on three burning issues in this Election Campaign, namely:
a) Land Redistribution Programme embarked upon by ZANU PF more than 23 years ago. Why does CCC seek its reversal?
b) CCC’s position or stance on the lifting of Economic Sanctions against Zimbabwe and its People. Why is CCC not calling for the lifting of the Sanctions Regime?
c) CCC’s policy/position on the issue of homosexuality. Why does CCC support policies of legalizing homosexuality?
