THE British Business Community (BBC) is currently in Zimbabwe where they are scouting for possible investment opportunities to venture into.
In an update Wednesday , the Finance Ministry said the visit follows business engagements done by his Excellency the President, Emmerson Mnangagwa with the BBC during the Business Roundtable meeting at the Coronation of King Charles III in May 2023.
This is in line with the Zimbabwe is open for business agenda, a British business delegation has visited the country.
“Today on the 3rd of October, 2023, the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion held a meeting with the British Business delegation to deliberate on investment opportunities and what the Ministry of Finance can offer as incentives for attracting foreign direct investment.
“The visit also follows the presentation of papers on Zimbabwean Capital Markets during the Financial Markets Indaba in April, 2023, attended by the Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion,” the Finance Ministry said.
The delegation consists of investors who want to explore investment opportunities in various sectors including Mining, Agriculture, ICT, Energy, Infrastructure and Financial Services Sector, among others.
The delegation will hold more meetings with stakeholders including the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, Infrastructure Development Bank, Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, various Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies across all sectors during the visit.
