Atlantic Council hails Sharpe Family’s generosity

THE Atlantic Council (AC) has hailed Mr Ken Sharpe and family for their generosity and over reaching hand in assisting the organization to host the two days long Women Prosperity Conference in Harare.

Presenting her closing remarks at the end of the highly engaging convention, Rutendo Mudzamiri, the director of development at the Atlantic Council’s Freedom and Prosperity Center said the contributions made by the Sharpe family towards the event were so impacting.

“I would like to thank the Sharpe family for helping us put together this event. We arrived from the US. Just me and Joseph Lemoine but thank God , Mr and Mrs Sharpe assisted us immensely in a number of ways to put up this event.

“They were around to walk us through difficult twists and turns and from the bottom of my heart I would like to express my deepest gratitude to them. Thank you so much for your hand in hosting this event,” she said.

The Atlantic Council is an American think tank in the field of international affairs, favoring Atlanticism, founded in 1961. It manages sixteen regional centers and functional programs related to international security and global economic prosperity. It is headquartered in Washington, D.C.

The Atlantic Council partnered Mrs Joanna Sharpe to host a high level Women Business Conference which was convened between the 9th and 10th of October 2024.

The event brought together top government officials like Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube, the European Union delegation to Zimbabwe, the United Nations , banking institutions and women’s organisations to deliberate on key issues affecting women’s economic progress in Zimbabwe and beyond.
