Watch: WestProp Holdings commissions Block 3 at Millennium Heights

Business Reporter

PROPERTY market game changer, WestProp Holdings Limited has commissioned Block 3’s 112 apartments   at Millenium Heights in a gesture of commitment to deliver to the promises made earlier when the project was launched.

The project is one among the several state of the art architectural gems introduced by the company which is an iconic landmark in the leafy suburb of Borrowdale.

Speaking to the Humanitarianpost.co.zw Tuesday, WestProp CEO, Ken Sharpe said the Block blends luxury with climate friendly designs which maximize on the environment.

“This is a green building. As the plants grow, the greenery will be on that balcony. We don’t want our residents to live in concrete jungles .We want them to enjoy the environment around them .So we started with the building itself. As residents occupy the place we will be mounting more trees.

“The next phase will be covering  the roofs with solar panels producing 400 kilowatts of power with a 400 kilowatts inverter and 800 kilowatts of batteries will double up the capacity so they can be 24/7 power provision in the building. We actually have the utility company now within WestProp which sells electricity to the clients.

“It sells the gas to the clients. It sells the water to the clients so that they can get services of those essential utilities from us as a company,” he said.

Sharpe said the building is also a first as it integrates an elevator lift from Germany on the four floors which is marble and granite.

He said the elevator will be commissioned once the residents are finished with renovations.

The buildings will be manned by a person waiting by the building’s reception 24/7 to welcome the guests and residents as they come in, to handle the mail and messages.

“Of significance, is the fact that this is not just a building? This is a community that we created, so you will see the Co-working spaces on each level we are creating a lounge and floor working spaces for people to sit on their computers.

“So they can interact with each other, they can come out of the unit. The community outside the building is also part of our vision.

“When we say we are creating Live, Work, Shop and Play this is a perfect example because this building is the first of many other buildings that are going to come out. This is block 3 but as we go up and higher we also improve our quality,” added Sharpe.
