WestProp Holdings Allocates US$2 Million for The Hills Clubhouse Construction

By Business Reporter

WestProp Holdings Limited, the leading Zimbabwean property developer, has earmarked US$2 million for the construction of a clubhouse at its flagship project, The Hills Lifestyle Estate.

The Hills Lifestyle Estate, an ultra-luxury residential development in Harare, is a gated community cantered around a USGA-standard championship golf course, designed to integrate living, working, retail, and leisure amenities.

The estate features luxury villas, townhouses, duplexes, branded apartments, and a retirement village, with over 80% of its land dedicated to green spaces, including nature trails and rehabilitated wetlands.

Speaking on current developments, WestProp CEO Ken Sharpe reported that ten Platinum golf club memberships have been sold for US$70,000 each, leaving eight vacancies in this category. Gold memberships are priced at US$20,000, providing access for corporate leaders.

“The clubhouse, valued at US$2 million, will be situated just beyond the 18th hole and will offer direct views of the finishing hall. Construction is set to commence shortly. Access to the estate remains limited at this stage, though the driving range is nearing completion,” Sharpe said.

Sharpe also confirmed ongoing discussions with Sunshine Tours aimed at attracting the PGA Tour to Zimbabwe, highlighting the country’s potential as a premier golfing and tourist destination.

Progress on residential development remains robust. Construction of the first villas and townhouses is well advanced, with apartment development to follow.

Phase 2 of the estate will feature luxury branded residences, a five-star hotel, a conference centre, a shopping mall, helipads, an ATP tennis academy adjacent to the driving range, and the country’s first artificial beach club designed for leisure and social gatherings.
