PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has extended his endorsement and congratulatory remarks to his Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) counterpart who recently won the presidential polls race.
President elect Felix Tshisekedi was declared the ultimate winner after garnering a landslide victory in the hotly contested plebiscite.
Mnangagwa said he was plaed to warmly congratulate his counterpart as the President of the DRC.
“Your re-election to the highest office is a reaffirmation of the confidence and that the people of the Congo have in your leadership to a more prosperous Congo.
“As you assume the onerous responsibilities of the offie .I look forward to resuming our cooperation and close interaction to enhance the cordial relations that happily subsist between our fraternal countries for the mutual benefit of our peoples,” he said.
Mnangagwa also expressed confidence in Tshisekedi’s leadership within the region, continent and international level.
“Let take this opportunity to wish you, Your Excellency, personal good health and success in leading your great country to prosperity as well as peace for the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo,” he added.
